Poor dietary intake is one of the most detrimental risks suffered by older people diagnosed with dementia living at home. Under nutrition is associated with functional decline, increased mortality, reduces the capability for independent living and demands for increased care facilities. With recent developments in cheap sensors and networking technologies embedded into a "things" capable of connecting to the Internet, it has become possible to develop a wide range of valuable applications such as remote monitoring and intervention. The aim of this project is to design and develop a comprehensive technological solution to support older people to maintian a good nutrition and stay at home longer.
